With the Victor Live Catch Mouse Trap, getting rid of mice has never been easier. This innovative, non-lethal mouse trap is designed to humanely catch and release mice without harming them. Using it is easy - simply apply bait in the designated bait cup, place the trap indoors or outdoors where you've seen activity, and push the door open to set the trap. The trap catches one mouse per setting and the transparent design makes it easy to see when you've caught a mouse. I had been dealing with a mouse in my room for about a week, he didn't cause any trouble and just kinda stuck to his area and my boyfriend and I stuck to ours. He was loud though and so we always knew when he was up. Bought this so I could relocate him as I was afraid he'd begin to chew through wires and that our cat would get him, but... to this day, he hasn't appeared again. Not in the trap, not in our room, literally no signs of a mouse existing. I don't know if he saw the trap and decided it was time to move out, or if it was just extraordinary timing, but I suppose the trap did do its job?
As for aspects of the trap, I'd say its better for a smaller mouse. The door flips from the inside out, so they gotta fit in there. Its all plastic, and I tried out the trap with my finger and was not harmed: definitely can't cause harm to humans, pets or the mouse itself, just like the packaging says. Seems like it would definitely do the job!

Hallowed name; useless product

"Victor" is the company famous for its classic lethal mousetrap. So, I thought this inexpensive live trap (in comparison to Havahart traps)device would be a good supplement to my Havahart small rodent trap. I purchased two!
But they don't work! Maybe they are too small and confined, but I set one out for 6 days (in addition to the Havahart). The latter trapped one mouse each day: the VGictor trapped none. I returned one that I hadn't opened: the other was so smeared with peanut butter that I didn't feel returnng it was OK.

This trap is designed for mice only, and results can improve by placing it directly along walls where mice travel, using a very small amount of bait placed at the far end of the trap, and making sure the door moves freely without obstruction. Wearing gloves during setup can also help reduce human scent.
