Q: Once mixed can you save any unused solution for another soak a few days later?

- A: The mixed solution will still remain active for a few days and can be reused for a second soak, so long as the solution did not get too dirty. If using a hoof soaking boot, once finished with the first soak, close off the solution in the boot to prevent leakage and store in a cool place. If left in the heat or the sun, the solution will degrade much faster. Good luck!11 days agoHelpful?

- A: No, Vetericyn Mobility Hoof Soak is specifically labeled for use only on horse hooves. The manufacturer explicitly states "Only use on horse hooves" in the product's precautions and directions.7 months agoHelpful?
Q: Really bad farrier job cut the ponies heels off too short. Now all she can do is lay down due to sore feet and her toes are curling up. Want to know if this will soak will work for her?

- A: Unfortunately, there is not a lot that can be done other than possibly a pain reliever such as phenylbutazone (Bute). Our hoof soak is for abscesses, white line, and other hoof ailments. You might try contacting your equine vet for suggestions as well.a year agoHelpful?
Q: Have a horse with a deep abscess in her frog been battling with soaking it and wrapping it and antibiotics. I’m curious as to how well this product will work in helping with the treatment of the depths of this abscess. How are the results of this product?

Hoof Soak review

We found Hoof Soak to work on a stubborn abscess when repeated Epsom salts failed. We still had to repeat it a few times and it is expensive. We also bought the soaking boot and that was a far better experience than using a bucket-especially for a large Friesian mnare with an attitude.

Worth every penny

Had been fighting an abscess on my 23 yr old gelding for a week with no relief, saw this and purchased it as a hail mary and let me tell you...within 48 hrs he was back to normal! I knew when i lifted his hoof out of the soak and saw what was in the soak that it had done something! Only draw back is that you need to use a gallon of water for one treatment so you end up throwing most of it out if using a hoof soak bag. This will now be a staple in my barn!

Thrush, white line, infected heel cracks? This will clean and kill all the microorganisms without stinging or damaging the healthy tissue. Rehab farriers use to swear by Clean Trax for this job, but that company no longer exists, and this is a very good alternative. A half hour soak and good to go. Enough for two feet. I managed to get four hooves out of the two pack
