V.E.T. Pharmaceuticals DL-Methionine Tablets for Cats and Dogs are for cats or dogs that are experiencing bladder or kidney issues. The main function of DL-Methionine is to increase urine acidity. As a result, this helps to prevent crystals and stones from forming and helps diminish unpleasant odors. DL-Methionine is safe for both cats and dogs, and dosage varies based on body weight.How it Works

V.E.T. Pharmaceuticals DL-Methionine works by preventing formation of stones and struvite crystals in cat and dog urine. This is achieved by the increase of the acidity of urine.

Special Precautions

If your pet exhibits sensitivity to this product, stop administering it. Not safe for animals with damage to the kidney or liver or animals that have acidosis.

Overdose Information

Immediately contact your closest emergency animal hospital or vet.

Store in a dry and cool environment.

Tips

It is recommended you administer this medication as follows:

  • Adult cats: administer 1-2 times daily with food; give 1 tablet per 10 pounds or 4.5 kg of weight
  • Dogs: administer 1-2 times daily with food; give 1/2 a tablet per 20 pounds or 4.5 kg of weight
  • Kittens: this product is NOT intended for use in kittens.

  • Helps treat Feline Lower Urinary Tract Disease (LUTD), urine odor and other bladder/kidney issues
  • Increases acidity to help prevent crystals and struvite stones from forming
  • Diminishes unpleasant urine odors
  • Suitable for dogs and cats
  • Each bottle contains 1,000 DL-Methionine tablets

    Tractor Supply lies

    Ordered this on the 21st because their website stated that it would be delivered on the 24th. It's the 24th and my order still says "Processing". If you need medication by a certain date, don't be fooled by believing Tractor Supply's lies. Order it from somewhere else.

    Eliminates crystals in my dog's urine

    My 7 year old cockapoo was diagnosed with crystals in her urine when she was quite young so finding that this product eliminates them was great! She weighs less than 20 pounds and I give her one with each of her 2 meals per day. I crush the pill and mix it with a small amount of soft butter and then mix it with her food--might not work with dry food.
