Vego Garden Elevated Garden Bed - 2x6 ft - Modern Gray

Wanted an herb garden close to my kitchen so I wouldn’t have to run out to the garden to snip some herbs for cooking. I put this attractive elevated bed at the north end of my screened porch off my family room/kitchen. My herbs are thriving! I will be able to roll the bed to my back porch during the winter months. Easy to assemble. The locks on the rollers are excellent.

It’s beautiful! It was easy to put together and had good instructions. I especially like that I got the casters for it. I’m very happy with my new addition to my garden.

I have been eyeing this Vego garden bed since last year and finally purchased it this year. Don’t get me wrong, the final product is very nice looking and super functional, however, the assembly directions are ridiculous and hard to follow. With Vego being SO on top of follow up emails, details, etc… I was shocked when all of the parts arrived unmarked. If they are named in the manual, they should be marked on the bags that they come in - especially since there are so many pieces. I know that there are videos to watch as well, but much simpler things from other companies come very well labeled.

This vego planter has been the BEST purchase for my little apartment patio. It’s been fueling my need to garden and grow some of my own food all in an apartment, renter friendly way. I live in a downtown area that has a tiny patch of trees sandwiched between a road, a train and my building; we get some critters like groundhogs and raccoons are always a threat to the livelihood of my patio garden. Last year, I had romane growing in a small low to the ground planter and it was the perfect height for my groundhog neighbor to mow it down for me every time it started to thrive. So, the Vego and the cool cover for making that greenhouse effect has caused my plants to THRIVE. They’re protected from critters, the leaves aren’t getting burned from the hot direct sun, and the soil is staying moist for a longer period. It makes me SO happy to see them thriving because taking care of my plants is like also taking care of myself. It’s been a journey to get to this point so if you’re on the fence because of cost, it’s worth it. The planters at the local big box stores are not the same thing as this. You’ll get some things to harvest, but it’ll come with other challenges that this planter more than satisfies. You won’t have to go around the wheel like I did buying other solutions for the problems as they came up, this is the perfect all-in-one. Plus, I was able to plant sooner in the season (planted them at the end of April 🤯) so I get to enjoy them longer. I could go on, but just save yourself the headaches if you’re in a similar setup to mine. ✨
