- A: Thank you for your question. The thermostat assembly that you are asking about works only for circulator type heaters and does not work for any plate steel stove. It looks like we are currently out of stock, but we do typically carry a B36TK, which is a thermostat kit for the blower on this heater. It is a snap disc that mounts to the stove and controls the blower by opening and closing based on temperature of the stove. it is non-adjustable, however. I hope this answers your questions. poor substitute

i believe this is a cheap substitute for the original equipment item. it would not hold its set position and the thermostat spring is lighter material than the original. i had to add a washer to the shaft to keep the spring from binding on the backing cup, and drilled for a pin to hold the setting.
No, I do not recommend this product.
