should have bought the 18""

The stove is sturdy and well-built. All parts were there, and it was easy to assemble. So far I haven't used it with a real fire, but it heats a tent on cool nights sufficiently for 4 hours with 6 tea-light candles!

Less effective and less convenient than a campfire

Please, PLEASE do not buy this. It Does Not Draft Properly. The stovepipe will never got hot enough in cold weather, and you will smoke yourself out every time you try to start a fire. You literally would be better off just making a campfire. I wasted my money, but you don't have to.

Hot Product

The stove works pretty good. Lights easily and produces a nice heat as long as you feed it. I cooked dinner and breakfast on it using cast iron fry pan. I used it to heat up the inside of a tipi on the next trip. Not a stove to take backpacking due to weight. My only problem is trying to get the stove pipes unconnected. After the first use several of the pipes have been stuck together so getting them back in the case is a no go. I like the design and overall functionality of the stove but the pipes are a sticking point for me.
