The UTM Photodegradable Straw Wattle Fiber Rolls are rice straw tubes produced for use in sediment control, storm water runoff reduction, and erosion control. By shortening slopes and delaying, spreading, and filtering overland water flow, straw wattles help stabilize hillsides. Straw wattles present sediment from flowing to the slope's base, allowing seeds to settle and grow. This helps restore vegetation to sloping places. Straw wattles can be erected along sidewalks to stop sediment from washing into the gutter and readily molded around drains to protect them from sediment pollution. They can also be utilized efficiently on flat terrain.
