The blades don't close fully to pick up the dirt. And the tool iitself is also VERY heavy. Not picking up the dirt in the hole you've dug because the blades don't touch is the worst. It just makes the job take longer than necessary.

Garbage!

Goes with the American standard that nothing is built the way things used to be. Any one that’s given these a good review didn’t truly use them. In order to dig a 4 foot deep hole, it’ll be 2 foot wide by the time you’re done just so you can get the handles to close enough to grab the dirt. Terrible design and eliminates the purpose of a posthole digger.
No, I do not recommend this product.

"Lifetime Guaranteed Warranty"?? - NOT HONORED!!

We are All American Fence Company of Columbia, SC. We purchased 2 Hercules Post hole diggers from TSC
on good faith due to warranty" Lifetime Guaranteed Warranty" after 4 projects later rivets became loose and
handle broke. TSC rep refused to honor warranty or accept them. TSC rep stated they look abused.
Digging holes with this tool in different soils should not be classified as abuse. "Clay, and Sand"
