Q: Looking for a Good feed for my picky horse he has heaves and is on the complete feed reg he does not care for it he cant have grass in the summer
a year ago- A: Hi- Thanks for the question! I would highly recommend TC Senior. Please email us at [email protected] if we can assist further.a year agoHelpful?
Q: What would be a good replacement feed for an older horse that can’t chew hay anymore.
a year ago- A: Our first choice for older horses no longer able to chew hay is typically the Triple Crown Senior. We will also recommend the Safe Starch Forage, depending on the individual horse and ability to chew. The Safe Starch Forage has a shorter particle length than traditional long stem hay and may be suitable for some horses who can't chew traditional hay, but may not need to be fed soaked cubes yet. The forage cubes are also an option to add to the diet, again depending on the individual horse. You are welcome to reach out to us directly at [email protected] or 800-267-7198 if you have additional questions or would like to discuss the individual needs of you horse.a year agoHelpful?
Q: Can foal eat this grain. She's in stall with her mom and she's 3 months old.
a year ago- A: We would suggest the Triple Crown Growth for a young growing horse. If you need additional feeding suggestions please reach out at [email protected].a year agoHelpful?
Q: Would this be good for a 14yo TWH that's an easy keeper but doesn't have access to hay/grass? How much feed daily would be a good maintenance ration if not given hay?
2 years ago- A: Hello- thanks for the question! TC Complete is not a complete feed (meaning that it can be used as a complete ration replacing forage). We do have multiple products that would be good in this situation but in order to give a better recommendation, would you email us at [email protected] or call us at 1-800-267-7198 with further information on your horse? Would like to know the medical issues present that are preventing them from consuming forage. Thanks!2 years agoHelpful?
Q: Is triple crown complete for PPID horses ?
2 years ago- A: Hi- Thanks for the question! Complete would not be the best choice for horses with PPID being that it is on the higher side of simple sugar content. If you are looking to stay in the same fat/calorie range, Senior Active or Senior would both be excellent choices. If you would like to discuss further, please email us at [email protected] or call us at 800-267-7198.2 years agoHelpful?
Q: Does this feed include the ration balance for all the vitamin and minerals my horse needs for his daily intake?
2 years ago- A: Hi- Thank you for the question! Yes, all Triple Crown feeds contain our "equimix" which is a unique blend of yeast cultures, organic minerals, prebiotics, probiotics and digestive enzymes. When fed at the minimum feeding rate of 5-6lbs per day, Complete will provide all required nutrition and more for your horse.2 years agoHelpful?
Q: Hello! Can you please tell me what percent of Molasses Triple Crown Complete contains?? Thanks
4 years ago- A: Our formulations are proprietary and we do not publish the specific inclusions of each ingredient. We do have extensive nutrition information listed on the back of the bag to help horse owners like you know what your horse is getting.4 years agoHelpful?
Q: How can you advertise this as being corn free when it has Distillers Dried Grains which is what is left over after corn is processed to make ethanol? Really?!
4 years ago- A: You are correct, Distillers grain is corn or barley fermented for beer, ethanol, etc. - which burns off the sugar/starch - what is left is high protein, low sugar/starch product that is a great source of low NSC protein for animals - the resulting product is not considered a grain as the nutritional construct is different from a grain.4 years agoHelpful?
Q: Is this feed good for a 19 month colt ?
4 years ago- A: This feed could be suitable for a 19 month old colt, however it would be best to contact us directly at 1-800-451-9916 to discuss your specific feeding needs.4 years agoHelpful?
Q: I have 30 yr old would that still has alot of spunk is this a good additive tp keep weight on and does it have alot of sugar? I want to keep him away from too much sugar.
4 years ago- A: As a general recommendation for a 30 year old horse that you are trying to keep the sugar content lower, we would suggest the Triple Crown Senior. If you would like to discuss the specific needs of your horse, feel free to give us a call at 1-800-451-9916 or e mail us at [email protected] and we are happy to help make a specific recommendation for your individual horse.4 years agoHelpful?
