These hitch attachments are ok for lightweight loads but not for anything heavy. They say 500 lbs max but I would stay between 250 to 300 lbs with the weight over the center/ hitch. I think it’s a great value comparing the cost & convenience. I also recommend drilling & bolting a handful of eye bolts around the outside to give you something to tie to when securing the load..

No Tie Off Points!

Nothing but the mesh bottom to attach a tie-down hook to and that's a pain trying to get the hook through, and kinda sketchy for strength.  I just finished welding some ovals around the outside to solve that problem.  Drilling 1/2" holes for the tie-down hooks would also work and doesn't require a welder.  Gotta wonder why whoever designed/built these never thought of that, can't imagine that increasing the cost more than a buck or two.

Carried a 340lbs generator from north Georgia to Tampa Florida after the hurricane. Worked very well, highly recommend. i would suggest adding additional reflective tape for safety on the highway.
