TSC Better Built 70" GOLD Low-Profile Crossover

Note that I am 210 Lbs and can stand on it to wash the roof. The first one I bought (not from TSC) was a black DeeZee gull wing design, and it was junk that bent when I stepped on it to see if I could wash the roof by carefully getting on it, I took it off immediately and bolted it to the front of my trailer to hold straps and chains.
The benefit to this TSC design with the top rail is that you may strap down coolers or other items while traveling. The negative is that you have to mount it forward of the front bed wall about an inch or the top rail will rub the truck cab window or the window trim when the lid is open and may damage the truck and/or the toolbox.
I am not a bed cover/tonneau cover kind of person who is looking for a dry bed area, so having the front gap does not bother me.
The latch and handle design on this TSC box is the best I have ever seen, it is like opening a car door. I can walk to the side of the truck, reach over and pull the handle and it opens. I can then later walk to the side of the truck and reach up and slam the lid down and it latches with me not being forced to go up into the bed.
I strongly recommend this box for home use and even light commercial users. If you are looking for KNACK box type of durability where you can load hundreds of lbs of lumber onto it, this aluminum style of box is not what you desire. Stay with the heavy steel construction if you want full on commercial level of durability. As far as aluminum boxes go, this is at the upper end of durability and quality.

Railing requires box to be moved forward

Requires box to set further away from back window to fully open the lid. This is due to the railing along the top edges. This reduces your available bed space. It's not a major issue but I would have preferred the box to sit closer to the window. I didn't realize this would be an issue until after purchasing and installing. Guess it's a decision on whether you feel the railing is going to give you the added benefit. I have otherwise had no issues with the box.
