Q: Can I use this for my deck, the deck is Timber tech!

1 Answer
  • A: Hi, Jessica! Thanks for your question. Yes, this model #38474, is a single-stage snowblower — single-stage blowers are best used on smooth concrete and asphalt surfaces as the curved paddle is designed to engage with the pavement and may pick up loose items. That said, it is equipped with curved rubber paddles that come in contact with the ground that may not damage the wood, however, if there are any loose items it will pick them up and could potentially cause damage to the deck. Hope this helps, thanks!

Q: what does single staged mean?

1 Answer
  • A: Hi, Bobby! Thanks so much for your question. The term “single-stage” refers to the amount of steps required to shoot snow out of the machine. In our single-stage models, there’s one auger spinning fast and delivering the snow out of the chute (one step). In two-stage models, there’s a slower-moving auger to break up and direct snow to the impeller, which then pushes snow out of the chute (two steps). Our single-stage snow blower line is recommended for use on pavement surfaces, moderate sopes, small driveways, walkways, and patios and 2-9” of snow. Hope this helps, thanks!

We've had two major snowstorms in the past two months. It's been fantastic. Not great with slushy snow but cranks through the fluffy snow easily. Really saved my back.
