Q&As

1 - 3 of 3 Questions

Q: There appears to be mounting provisions (two screws) for a solenoid or something on top of the starter. (My 9N has been converted to 12V and the power cable goes directly to the power stud on the starter. ) What’s intended to go here, and why? Thank you.

1 Answer
  • A: After talking with the tech team, this is what I was told . Nothing goes there on this starter. The housing is used for several different starter applications

1 Answer
  • A: For your application I’m showing a C3NF11002RXLD. Your local Tractor Supply Store can order this for you.

Q: It says 6 v or 12 v - does it mean you can use the same one with both voltages? I have 6 volt system now but want to convert to 12 later on.

1 Answer
  • A: The starter will work the same in both voltage applications. A slight rotation speed increase will be noticed with the higher voltage.

Purchased this item 6 months ago, installation was simple and has not failed me yet. The old starter the would not go sometimes and the drive did not stay engaged always. Much improved
