The part that was needed.

It works! Got the old Ford 2000 4cyl Tractor started again. Ran a few times since and so far so good. Best price compared to other places.

Bad (intermittent) solenoid

The solenoid fits properly and looks like the original, but it operates incorrectly. There are 4 connections (2 together) and in order for my starter to kick in I had to at first switch the wires on the 2 small posts. Then it stopped working. I switched the two wires to the original posts and it worked well for about 3 days. Now it stopped working again. Without tearing it apart not sure why it's acting up. It never worked well from the start. I would give it a one but I really like the things I have gotten from tractor supply in the past. I will be ordering this part from another company as I want a different manufacturer,
