- A: Condenser’s are rated in the 100’s of volt range (generally 450 volts) so when switching the system from 6-volt to 12-volt a different condenser is not required because it will handle the fluctuating output of the coil.7 years agoHelpful?
Q: CAN YOU USE THIS COIL IN PLACE OF 6VOLT COIL IF YOU HAVE CONVERTED IT TO 12 VOLT NEG GROUND EXCEPT FOR THE IGNITION

It Fixed the problem and was an exact fit. However, it was a bit too pricey and I had to have them price match it with a competitor offering the same product at a significantly lower price.
