- A: Although tank size can vary depending on who manufacturers it, and because we switch out customer owned tanks across the country, we have many different sized 40cf tanks in our inventory, the ones that Thoroughbred buys directly from cylinder manufacturer are 17" in height, diameter is 7", and they weigh 25lbs.8 years agoHelpful?
