- A: Rich, Thank you for reaching out to us. This particular sku is for the cost of the cylinder only. Once you have purchased the cylinder then your local retailer would charge you for the contents which is a 75% Argon and 25% CO2 blend. Q: Will you exchange a prax air tank

- A: Hello, A size #4 shielding gas is acceptable to exchange as long as it is a customer owned tank and not leased or rented. You will have to sign a customer ownership acknowledgment form stating that you own the cylinder you are exchanging. If it has a praxair neck ring on it, that is not a customer owned cylinder. Thoroughbred is a customer owned cylinder exchange program. As long as you own your cylinder and do not rent or lease, you may exchange a size #4 shielding gas cylinder. - A: we exchange Customer Owned Cylinders (COC) for full Thoroughbred COC cylinders. So if you own your tank, you can exchange it when empty at you closest Welding Gas to Go! Location. Q: what is the difference between this cylinder and cylinder mix-4B, other than $100 in price?

- A: The cylinder you’re looking at is a C25 mix. Or in other words 25% Carbon Dioxide and 75% Argon. The Argon is the expensive part of that mixture. My guess is that if you are finding a Cylinder of the same size that’s cheaper it’s mix has more CO2 and less Ar. Or maybe 100% Carbon Dioxide. This C25 mix makes a smooth weld and penetrates well.5 years agoHelpful?

Shielding gas exchange is super convenient!

Only store around that is open after 5pm and weekends that exchanges shielding gas. Just wish more of the locations offered this service, of the 4 tractor supply’s in my area, only 1 offers shielding gas. But they usually have it in stock!

It was very expensive I have close to $500 in a tank the contents are like $50 they even gave me the wrong gas didn't realize tell got home had to return to store 50 mile round trip didn't have gas I wanted in size tank I bought so had to pay more for larger tank
