The Chicken Chick Hen Mating Saddle features an extra-wide shoulder, wing, and back coverage. Mating by a rooster can cause feather damage, bald spots and skin injuries to a hen's back and wings; these vulnerable areas can be protected with the use of a properly constructed hen saddle. Attaching the Hen Mating Saddle is best done at night.

Great, easy to use. Worked!

I was dog sitting and noticed two chickens being pecked while eating. One in particular, was thin, and her wings had blood feathers showing. Days went by, and it seemed the biggest, fattest, most well kept chicken kept bullying the thinner chickens. So, after calling my cousin who owns a horse, she recommended to buy Chicken Saddles. I did, and they worked. The thinnest chicken laid an egg, which in the 5 days since I had been watching her, only the biggest chicken was laying eggs. On top of that, the thin chicken seemed to be eating more visibly gaining some weight. The saddle works like a dream and although I'm not there to take care of the chickens, I was pleased to get the saddle on the chicken and see the benefits start to to work their magic. Thank you Tractor Supply for providing such great products.

Why I Love the Brand "Chicken Chick Saddle".

I've ordered other saddles before but the Chicken Chick Saddles are the Best. They are durable, and stay on - I love that they have 2 snaps on each band. We now have 6 for our hens and I plan on getting more.
