1 Answer
  • A: Hi, Thank you for your question! For installation, we typically recommend using any brand of metal U posts or T posts that are at least 1 foot taller than the fence height. We recommend 1 post every 15 feet and fence ties to secure the fence to the posts.

Lightweight yet strong

Easy to cut with sharp scissors or utility knife. Light weight makes it easy to handle and install, but it seems to be pretty strong to resist force from a deer as long as the posts are strong and driven deep enough. Used to fence a vegetable and herb garden in a suburban area with a lot of deer that eat flowers, potted plants and ground covers. Installed using t-posts and attached with heavy duty, zip-type cable ties. It been up about 4 weeks with no deer incursion so far, which given the problems we have elsewhere in the yard would indicate success. Too bad TSC does not also sell a gate. Had to source a gate from another supplier. While waiting for the gate to arrive, I just snipped the cable ties with wire cutters To roll back the end of the fence to gain access and reinstalled new cable ties when done to secure, which could be less expensive over even a number of years than a gate but is certainly a hassle. The mesh is almost invisible from about 20-30 feet making it very unobtrusive except for the t-posts. We’ll see how it holds up over the long term with UV exposure, but the black pigment of the strands should help give it a reasonable life befor it gets too brittle to be serviceable.

5" shorter than claimed

This was only 6' 7" high, not 7'. Really messed up my project. I called TSC and they had the same size roll in a lesser quality, but when they opened to measure it, it was also about 5" short of the promised size. Watch out with Tenax stuff. This may be a problem across the board. Other than that it was fine.

Deer fence

Purchased this deer fence and erected it around my vegetable garden to try and save my plants which were definitely prime dining for the deer that visited every night. It’s been up and on guard for a couple of weeks and so far so good! All my plants are intact.
