The Tech Team Farm Gate Cane Bolt and Drop Rod measures 3/4 in. x 24 in.. This is a commercial grade product designed for extreme duty that will stand up to livestock pressure and strong wind. It is constructed from precision welded steel with a salt spray rated zinc electroplate finish. No welding necessary, connects to tubular steel farm and cattle gates with flat inside radius clamps that grip without binding or pinching. Holes punched for attachment to wood gates.

Performs to Design; poor documentation

Functionally a good product. Made well, robust materials. Essentially there are no assembly instructions so with what limited pictures with the product brochure, it's a hit or miss assembly process.

Installs easy. Looks sturdy. I would prefer that the bottom plate was just as narrow as the top plate. It stops the other gate from swinging past the gate it is attached to. Some people might like that, but I don’t. I’ll have to cut that plate and then apply some galvanizing compound. Speaking of galvanizing, it seems that it is electroplated, not hot dipped. Time will tell how long it lasts before rusting.
