Q: Can the heavy poly feeder be hung on a tree to feed Deer so they don’t eat my plants. We have a Doe with 4 Fawn who only have the suggestion of the spots remaining. Will they all try to eat simultaneously or one to two at a time?

- A: I have mine hanging on a wooden fence. That back hanger goes completely across the back area. If you have enough space for the hanger between 2 vertical pipes, you should be okay. You could probably cut out some notches in the back hanger to accommodate the vertical space piping that you have. I also screwed mine down to the wood panel because the goats kept flipping it off and spilling the feed or hay until I did that. But I do love how deep it is. Keeps spillage to a minimum. I like the size of the feed tub, it just what I was looking for in size... However, when I went to retrieve it from the store I found it had been shipped with little safeguard. One bottom corner was collapsed because it had been dropped. The plastic folded it enough that there was a small tear in the plastic, and showed obvious wear and tear. It is thinner and lighter grade than I was expecting, and with the tear I refused to accept it from the store and requested a refund. I wouldn't mind paying $30 to $40 for this, but at current time this is $85 and not worth the price.
No, I do not recommend this product.
