This Tarter Farm and Ranch Equipment 650 lb. Calf Creep Feeder helps producers maximize return on investment by adding pounds and maximizing growth rate in their calf crop before weaning and marketing. This creep feeder gate for calves holds 650 lb. of feed and also features adjustable feed control bands and a high quality cage to ensure larger animals cannot access valuable feed. Ideal for small to medium sized calf herds, this 650 lb. calf creep feeder is made with 1-3/8 in. square tube frame that is reinforced with 1-1/4 in. angle iron for durability. The small creep feeder also features an E-coat red finish for lasting use in the field.NOTE: Before transporting make sure the cage is in the upright position. Not recommended for moving while loaded.

It's bigger and heavier than I was thinking, but when we got it in place, I'm glad it was sturdy! Has to withstand mama cow's curiosity! Great product for a medium herd!

I like the feeder but Now after 4.5 inches of rain my feed is wet even inside the keeper/should this Have happened? This is my second creep feeder and my old one sure doesn’t do this.

This feeder wasn’t built very the rings for the pipe to adjust hight for Calves wasn’t lined up the feeder latch is missing im considering returning for my money back and buy some were else

Feeder is adequate, however a major challenge exists with the sliding lid, there is nothing to stop it at the rear of lid so it tends to slide completely off into pen when opened wide to fill. I had to drill a hole to put in large bolt to stop lid at about 3/4 open.

Not a big fan. The feed does not flow well. We use a custom mix which may be a bit thicker than others but we have to get in the cage and pull grain to the trough. Also found a self tapping screw in the hopper that I had to fish out and happy I saw it before an animal ate it. The unit is built well and sturdy though. My calves do eat from it fine once I get in and pull the feed down.
