Does your dog have tapeworms? Treat your puppy or dog with Tapeworm Dewormer for Dogs. Containing the drug Praziquantel, this medication treats worm infections and is FDA approved for safe use in puppies and dogs. Praziquantel forces tapeworms to be digested by the host, thereby flushing it out of the dog's system. Each box comes with 5 dog dewormer tablets. How it Works
The liver absorbs and metabolizes praziquantel, and it is then excreted through the bile. Once it enters the dog's digestive tract, its cestocidal activity forces the tapeworm to succumb to host digestion. Entire tapeworms rarely completely pass through the digestive system of the host. Usually, tapeworms will be digested, and only small parasite pieces will be left behind in the feces following praziquantel treatment.
Special Precautions
- Speak with your veterinarian prior to administering to a debilitated or weak animal.

Q: Is this a single treatment? Do I need to do multiple treatments? If so how often…. Every day for the next 3 days, or every other week for 3 doses?
5 months ago- A: Hi Neighbor! This is typically a single dose medication unless reinfection occurs. Steps should be taken to control fleas and rodents on the premises in order to prevent reinfection, otherwise retreatment will be necessary. This is especially true in cases of tapeworms transmitted by fleas (Dipylidium caninum) where reinfection is almost certain to occur if fleas are not removed from the animal and its environment. For the safety of your pet, please consult your veterinarian prior to administering.5 months agoHelpful?
