  • A: The taps are not treaded. The taps are made of clear polycarbonate. The tap has a hose barbed end to install the 5/16 maple tubing on and the opposite end is to be inserted into the tap hole on the maple tree.

  • A: The taps are not threaded. They are a clear poly carbonate material that will allow the 5/16 maple sap tubing to be installed on the barbed end and the opposite end to be installed into the tree.

These new taps are great with see through feature. You can see if the maple water is flowing or not. Taps are just as strong as the black plastic and less cumbersome than metal.
