Q: Does this kennel have plastic stoppers/plugs in the bottom of the tubes where they meet the ground to help against rust?

1 Answer
  • AI-assisted, Human-approved
A: Hi EJWM- No, this kennel does not include rubber or plastic pieces on the bottom of the legs. To help prevent the posts from rusting, it is suggested to place a small landscaping block under each leg to keep them from sinking into the ground.

Big dog fixer

Would have to say the fence has worked well for me. I have two dogs, one 55lbs and the other 125 lbs. To make these fences sturdy for big dogs, just put them them together with the poles on the outside of the containment area. This will make the dogs have to push into the fence with the pressure being obsorbed by the outside posts. It works great. Go ahead and buy some zip ties. Reinforce the fencing with big zip ties on each panel. I purchased about 5 of these kennells and hooked them together. I have a great big area that the dogs can run in. I move it every 6 months just a little. Loosening the screws on the panels and pulling the fence panells out. This is a very good portable fence. It is a little flimsy, but turn it inside out and load it down with zip ties.

Very large flaw

I returned it. The problem is that there is a major flaw in the construction. We set up the kennel shortly after purchasing it, I put my 50 lb. shepherd mix in it the next morning, and he broke out within an hour or two. The vertical metal rod that holds the chain link to the outside post frame is not secured to the bottom of the post frame so the chain link can be pawed off of the bottom. This creates a triangular hole that the dog can squeeze through. He can now escape within seconds. There are eight such areas. Just about any dog who tried could likely escape this kennel which is the exact opposite effect that anyone purchasing a kennel would desire. When I called, I was told that this is a "normal" issue even though I was not cautioned against it when I purchased the kennel.

Roadie is a terrible service

Unsatisfactory experience. Roadie, the delivery service, was unresponsive and ignored all text instructions. Driver didn't answer the phone at the number they gave me. Kennel was left in my front yard and one panel was badly bent. I've had several of these in the past that I picked up myself without incident. I use them together as a fence. Kennel is adequate, has gone up in price.

SUCKS

This product SUCKS. My dogs have escaped over a half dozen times. All they do is push and the chain link comes unraveled/unwoven. My dogs are not big. They are only about 60-65 pounds apiece.
