I have found that the Stanley Tape Measures that have an end tab that is black. Have That end tab hold up better and resists bending way better than the Stanley tapes with a chrome plated end tab. Just an observation.

This tape measure lives up to the Stanley name. I only give it a 4 because the balance is a little off and it has a little issue locking the tape. Otherwise I really like this measure.

I use mine at work quite a bit when I need to measure vertically or measure longer distances. It goes out quite a bit without dropping significantly and doesn't kink. I really like that it is uncluttered and easy to read. The only drawback that I see is that it is bulky and isn't comfortable hanging on my pocket when I don't have a toolbelt on. I've had it for quite a while and it still retracts quickly, I use my finger as a brake to stop it from slamming home.

Serviceable and accurate Long lasting, though I've noticed that the new model doesn't last as long as the one I purchased 50-55years ago. The spring is cheaper i assume.
