SportDOG Rugged Utility 6 ft. Lead

When you live with two huskies, “durability testing” is not something you schedule—it happens every single day. My dogs pull hard enough that one might say they occasionally walk me, so the Rugged Utility Collar and 6-Foot Leash had some very enthusiastic testers. I got a large collar for my husky. The first time I put it on, it took me a little while to figure out and adjust, but once it was on, the fit was great. The material softened up after a bit, and the collar feels snug without being too wide or bulky around her neck. We are a very outdoorsy family and spend plenty of time camping, hiking, and exploring with our two huskies. We also love taking them swimming in lakes and rivers. With typical collars made from textile, webbing, or even rope, water exposure eventually means one thing: that unmistakable wet-dog-collar smell. Sometimes even a rainy walk is enough to get things smelling questionable. This collar, however, dries incredibly fast and has had zero odor, even after repeated exposure to water. Even better, the dogs' necks don't end up smelling like a wet gym bag afterward! The collar and leash also passed the ultimate Husky Test. Both of our dogs pull hard on walks, and the premium material has held up beautifully. The coated stainless steel hardware feels extremely sturdy, with a strong, high-quality finish that gives me confidence it can handle serious pulling power—and trust me, husky pulling power is no joke. Cleaning is another huge win. Mud, rain, dirt, and whatever mysterious substance my dogs manage to find on the trail wipe right off. Everything cleans easily, dries quickly, and doesn't hold onto moisture or smells. I also really like the extra loop on the leash for keeping your dog closer when needed. It is especially useful when a squirrel suddenly appears, another small animal catches their attention, or you pass an unfamiliar or unfriendly dog. With huskies, you never know when a peaceful walk might suddenly turn into an Olympic-level sprint attempt! Overall, I feel completely confident using the Rugged Utility Collar and 6-Foot Leash during demanding outdoor activities. No matter what the trail brings, how muddy the adventure gets, or what the weather is doing, I know this collar and leash will clean easily, dry quickly, and—best of all—never bring home that dreaded wet-dog smell. The SportDOG 6-foot leash is by far my favorite leash so far! It is light but very very durable. The material is super easy to clean. It is very comfortable in your hand, and I absolutely love the fact there is another handle about half way down the leash for when you need to keep your pup closer! I would recommend this leash to anyone!

It was easy to clap on to my dog collar and seems sturdy. I’ve been using this every day for the last one month and I haven’t seen any wear and tear on the leash yet. Granted my dog is not very big so the pull power is a lot less but it does the job for me.
