Poor QC

Positive battery lead was smashed during factory assembly of the case halves. Unit was outside warranty period. Customer service offered $10 off on a $200 replacement collar. I ordered the replacement battery at TSC to avoid shipping costs from Sportdog.
No, I do not recommend this product.

It is important to mention that our units do carry a 1-2 year warranty depending on model. If there is a manufacturing issue, we would be more than happy to replace the affected part if covered under warranty. If outside of warranty, though it would be very unusual for an issue outside of that timeframe to be related to manufacturing, we always want to fully understand each situation and help in any way we can.
For situations where a replacement transmitter is recommended, this would typically indicate there is reason to suspect an issue with the unit itself rather than the battery- for issues that are only shortened battery life or something such as physical damage to a battery wire, this could be resolved be a replacement battery, which we do have available. We are so sorry for any confusion or misunderstanding.

Remote replacement battery kit plus a charger

Bought a replacement battery kit for my remote sport dog 575 was only 2 years old. Plus the charger quit working.
Put in the new one and still won’t ever charge past 2 bars a little disappointing given the price to replace the battery.
It was Great service and shipping though
