The Spectra Canine 10 + Lyme Dog Vaccine is a combination of immunogenic, attenuated strains of CDV, CAV2, CPIV and CPV type 2b, propagated in cell line tissue cultures. This important diluent contains killed CCV and Bburg antigens with Leptospira bacterial antigens. The CAV2 fraction has been shown to be effective against disease due to CAV1. The CPV2b strain has been demonstrated to be effective against CPV2c in puppies with CPV maternal antibody. The Canine 10 + Lyme Vaccine comes with gentamicin and thimerosal added as preservatives.

Will use again for all of our dogs

We used this shot as a second round of shots on a 3 month old pug. She had side effects for a few hours but bounced back and is doing fine. Her side effects were a slight fever, wouldn’t eat dinner, barely drank water and acted sluggish. When the side effects were off, she was back to her energetic, self drinking plenty of water and finished her dinner.

Cheaper than the vet

I started vaccinating my dog last year with this vaccine. It is cheaper than the vet (they wanted $200 for the same vaccines). I had no issues with setting up the syringe.
Now, when I brought him to the vet for his yearly checkup, the tech made it seem like this stuff is garbage and not as good as what they use. It is pure nonsense. If their stuff was so good, then why did my last dog die of Lyme's 2 years ago? She was vaccinated 3 months before we moved here and she got her first ever tick. Turns out the Lyme vaccine isn't 100%. That's something to think about. The tech also sneered when I told her he got his rabies shot from a NYS DOH run rabies clinic for $5. As if the vaccines they use aren't any good, either.
Anyway, if you feel comfortable administering the shot, or know someone who is, then go for it. It will save you a lot of money. The vet wanted $150 for the visit alone and $200 for the shots. Even the TS clinic will cost around $150 for it. That's a lot of money to shell out, especially in this economy.
