Q: Does the pump have to be submerged in water to pump b out the water
2 months ago1 Answer
- A: Hi Neighbor! Yes, this is a submersible water pump designed to be placed in water. It features Auto-Flo sensing technology that detects rising water levels to automatically begin pumping. One reviewer noted that it may need to be placed in deep water or a bucket to start effectively.2 months agoHelpful?
Q: Can you shut off the automatic operation and run it without it?Thanks
a year ago1 Answer
- A: Yes, you can typically disable the automatic operation on a Smartbot 1/2 HP 120V Electric 2800 Utility Water Pump by accessing the pressure switch and manually adjusting its settings to bypass the automatic function; this usually involves setting the pressure switch to "manual" mode or adjusting the cut-in and cut-out pressure levels to a fixed point where the pump will only operate when manually turned on.a year agoHelpful?
Q: Will this pump allow water to siphon/leak thru it when power is off, if there is a small positive/gravity pressure on the outlet? I need it to pressurize a sprinkler below a pond but do NOT want it leak when the power is off.

Sump pump for flooded crawl space
This sump pump seemed to clog easy. We had to take it apart and clean it out multiple times or if the water didn’t drain continuously and backed up it would shut off. It also needed to be in pretty deep water to actually start so we would need to put it in a bucket of water first then in the water we needed drained. This was my first dump pump so over all not a bad pump.
