We also suggest making the application when the temperatures are above 60 but below 90 degrees. Also, the product should be left undisturbed and not watered for 24 hours after application. Lastly, the weeds may temporarily appear healthier and greener after an application of a weed control; the active ingredients trigger uncontrolled plant growth that causes weeds listed on the label to die. We are concerned to hear this. When used according to label instructions, Scotts® Weed Control for Lawns does not damage grass. It may damage new lawn and should not be applied until a new lawn has been mowed 3 or more times. While there is a safety factor built into the product, too much product can cause damage.
