Not as good as they used to be

I've been using these for years and always thought they did a great job. Something changed and this year's (late 2017) product is awful. They do burn, just barely. Maybe I got a bad batch but purchased on two separate occasions and both are the same. I have recommended these to friends in the past but can no longer do so in good faith.

I got these two years or so ago with my Neighbor's Club points - had my choice of a hat or a box of fire starters. I wasn't expecting much but boy was I surprised. They light easily and get the fire going quickly. One or two squares will get the job done. I am now a huge fan and keep them near both of our firepits for easy lighting. After two years my box is almost empty but the ones that are left still work great, so I will be ordering more soon (or putting my club points towards another box of this great product!)
