- A: For use if Hanging Baffle, Insert the large loop of the S hook throught the baffle hanging adaptor.Insert the S hook and the baffle hanging adaphter through the squirrel baffle top,and hang in desired location. For Pole mount Baffle, Insert set ecrew into pole mounting flange, slide flange obver the pole(Flat surface on Top), tighten screw so flange will not slip and put baffle on flange, Recommended to mount baffle at least 3 feet from the ground and 10 feet away from trees or structure so the squirles cant jump on top of the baffle or feeder.5 years agoHelpful?

Good in the right circumstances

Works, probably best when hung from a tree or similar. Comes with proper hardware for that. If mounting to a shepherd's hook, the screw method of just putting pressure on the pole to hold the baffle in place does not work well. The weight of a squirrel, or especially a raccoon can cause it to slide down the pole. Definitely needs to be high off the ground, which means your feeder must be even higher.

After years of trying to keep the squirrels out of my birdfeeders, these baffles do work. A lot of positioning of the baffle in relation to the feeder was required, but finally the squirrels have given up. The squirrels can eat what falls to the ground and that’s OK.

Absolutely atrocious. Cannot be satisfatorily tightened against a 1/2" shepherd's crook. WORTHLESS.
