HORRIBLE PRODUCT!!!!!

DO NOT BUY THIS FEEDER!!!!! Although it is a beautiful feeder, I have had two occasions where my little chickadees have become trapped inside of it when the level gets low (somehow they are able to crawl into the big feeding holes?). The first time it happened I was able to save the bird bc I saw the chickadee fluttering around inside of it but sadly yesterday when I went to fill it up, one had died inside of it bc I had been away for several days. This makes me both sad & angry & this product should be yanked from the shelves immediately!!! I am going to escalate my concerns also to the manufacturer of this product as well bc I am very upset about this!

It's my favorite very beautiful and sturdy and had been weather resistance and love each of the bird houses we have a collection just from Tractor Supply alone and just a few from other stores definitely makes our Family and Friends happy when they see all of our collection

This bird feeder holds a lot of seed so it doesn't need to be filled more than once a day. One drawback although is that there are several sharp edges and it seems to be rather flimsy so I'm not sure how long it will last.

Small birds getting trapped in it

I love the look, and the ease of refilling and cleaning this feeder. However, I have found several small birds that have somehow been able get into the seed area and became trapped/ unable to get back out. (Unfortunately, one even died before I was able to let it out by removing the lid.) There ought to be a screen of some sort that can prevent small birds getting inside. I am trying to improvise something with garden mesh that will be large enough to let seeds through to the feeding area, but will stop birds from getting underneath it.
