Nice grill. But assembly instructions leave something to be desired. Especially when it comes to where gas lines need to go . And no mention of the fact that the ignition switch requires a batter to work.

Rust bucket and horrible customer service

The grill was delivered to the store for Father’s Day. Waited about a week for it. I started putting it together with my son and about an hour in we got to the top. We opened the lid to find multiple pieces of steel exposed. Missing paint under multiple burners, powder coating flaking off. RUST! Right out of the box! Called the 1-800 number for warranty and got a disconnected line. Sent an email to royal gourmet with pictures only to be told they can’t do anything except discount it, or send me a grill cover..(my wife and mom already got one!). What great customer service! I didn’t want freebies, I didn’t want a discount, I just wanted the grill my wife and mom spent good money on to not be rusty out of the box! Not a lot to ask to make that right! Luckily Tractor Supply has great customer service and they somehow managed to order a whole new one and throw on a discount for the trouble. Shame on Royal Gourmet and I hope the new replacement is not plagued by the same issues! Will update when issues are resolved.
