Q: Difference between rotating rooter build up remover and preventative pipe shield

1 Answer
  • A: Per a previous answer to a similar question: The products work similarly, but the Pipe Shield is a true commercial grade product, so it can handle more severe situations and uses, such as restaurant kitchen drains, or more industrial types of environments. The Build up remover is more for consumer use in a kitchen, or bathroom for a home, or office.

Q: Can I pour this directly in my toilet and flush even though my toilet won't actually flush?

1 Answer
  • A: Hi~ No, it will not improve the slow drain. SHAKE WELL BEFORE USE. This product will not remove clogs or improve slow drains due to mineral deposits or tree roots. DIRECTIONS FOR USE FOR SLOW-RUNNING DRAINS: 1. Run warm water through drain for 1-2 minutes. 2. Turn off water and pour 16 oz. (¼ bottle) into drain. 3. Briefly run warm water through drain (about 2-3 cups) to distribute Build-Up Remover along pipe walls. 4. Avoid running water down drain for 8 hours. 5. Repeat for 3 consecutive days if necessary. In certain cases, drain build-up may loosen causing blockage of drain. This means the formula is working to loosen buildup. If this happens, simply plunge the drain and repeat usage of the product. FOR SLOW-RUNNING TOILETS: 1. Flush 4 oz. of product down toilet for 3 consecutive days. 2. Avoid flushing for about 8 hours after each treatment. FOR ONGOING TREATMENT: Pour 2 oz. down each drain and 4 oz. down toilet every 2-4 weeks. FOR DEODORIZING GARBAGE DISPOSALS: 1. Pour 4 oz. in disposal at the end of the day. 2. Turn disposal quickly on, then off. 3. Avoid using drain for 8 hours after treatment. Repeat weekly

Saved a TON of money on a plumber

Grandson flushed entire roll of TP, which did flush but totally blocked plumbing. No snake and no amount of plunging could remove the blockage. Before spending a fortune on a plumber, we tried this. It's a 3 day treatment but actually worked before the 2nd day. We completed the whole 3 days anyway, just to make sure the blockage made it all the way out to the road. It did.

Yes, I recommend this product.
