They are comfortable like my last two pair of Rockies FLX but these are very dark, almost black, is that normal.

I currently own 7 pairs or Rocky boots, and hands down, these are the most comfortable shoes I've owned. All day wear, no problem. They also handle any thing you can throw at them, rain, mud, etc... If and when they wear out, I'd definitely get another pair.
