Q: Just got these boots, wondering if I can put mink oil or leather conditioner on them before i wear them in the field?

1 Answer
  • A: Thank you for your interest in Rocky Boots. You would be able to apply a thin layer of mink oil to the boot. We do suggest testing on a small patch before applying to the whole boot just to make sure there aren't any issues. We hope this helps with your purchase. Please reach out with further questions. Have a great day! -MR @ Rocky

  • A: Thank you for your interest in Rocky Boots. Our boots are designed to fit standard true to size. You would be able to order the size you normally wear. We do suggest wearing them around your house to make sure you like the fit/feel of the boots. Tractor Supply does offer an easy and hassle free return policy, if you find you don't like the fit/feel. Q: Rocky has updated the Outback8729. Your images show the old version. Do you have the old version or are your images out of date?

1 Answer
  • A: Thank you for your interest in the Rocky Outback. We have verified with our production team that there has been no change in design for this style, FQ0008729. We did find that the image of the outsole listed on Tractor Supply website is incorrect and we will work with them to have that updated. The actual production outsole is all black with a red Rocky logo. This is the version you will get upon ordering. We hope this answers your question and helps with your buying decision, but feel free to reach out if there is anything else we can help clarify. Happy shopping! ~ TKD @ Rocky Brands.

Durable boots

I’ve had these boots for at least 7 years. They’re still comfy and usable, after me not conditioning or taking care of them at all. They’re totally thrashed but still have tread and the insoles feel great. Just ordered a pair of rangers to try out. If you’re on the fence about these- don’t be!

Yes, I recommend this product.

I purchased a pair of Outback, leather/fabric boots in 1984, the boot is still wearable, (but the waterproof protection is finally gone). I have used them for early season hunting, turkey hunting, deer hunting, etc. and they are great. I will be purchasing a pair of the all leather boots very soon.

Yes, I recommend this product.
