REMCO's 5500 series 4.0 GPM Sprayer pump is the Professional Grade choice for performance and efficiency. This sprayer pump utilizes a 60 PSI pressure setting and REMCO's signature sealed 12 volt electric motor allowing the pump to operate in the harshest environments. The 5500 Series is Made in the U.S.A and engineered with Professional Grade components able to withstand long and continuous duty cycles of Agricultural spray applications. Utilizing heavy 14 AWG wire leads the REMCO 5500 Series has low operating temperatures and is extremely efficient. This 4.0 GPM pump's materials of construction are compatible with most common agricultural spray chemical including herbicides, fertilizers, and insecticides. The Professional Grade 5500 Series Spray pump is engineered to withstand the most rigorous and punishing duty cycles, a top of the line performer for all pumping needs.Package Contents: 1 - 5500 series 4.0 GPM Pump, 1 - 1/2 in. Q: What does on demand mean?

- A: Good question, this refers to the pumps pressure control. On Demand means that the pump has a pressure switch incorporated as a pressure control. This pressure switch turns the pump on when there is "demand" for liquid and turns it off when there isn't. For example: when spraying using a hand wand, you squeeze the trigger and the pump turns on, then when you let go of the trigger pressure builds and the pressure switch turns the pump off. Q: Can this be used as a hydroponic irrigation pump? To auto water an indoor garden through drippers.

- A: yes it can be used for that application but you want to make sure when the pump is on that it doesn't cycle rapidly (on/off/on/off) this will potentially burn out the pressure switch. My recommendation for this type of irrigation system is use a bypass style on a timer for watering.
