- A: Yes, you can ride in the fly mask. Please note that if horse gets really sweaty, the color from the fly mask might rub on the horse. If that happens, you can use vinegar to help remove the color. Combine one part vinegar with one part water and use it as a rinse after shampooing. This is a great mask and lasts. Rio doesn't fight me trying to get it on. Grab two so you can swap them out for washing. Repair the holes that are still reasonable small.

These are pricey for what they are, but I needed a fly mask in a pinch. I also thought it came with hook and loop, but she was good about letting me slip it over her head so no problem. The horse size fits my 15 hand warmblood mare snug but not tight. The eye covers are generous and darted so they don't rub. While the fabric doesn't make her sweat out in the paddock, it is a little flimsy and she's already rubbed a small tear in the nose.
