Q&As

Q: can i give this too a 5 week old kitten that’s struggleing with life

1 Answer
  • A: Yes, Producer's Pride Multi-Species Colostrum Gel is officially listed as safe for kittens, but it will not provide the immune-boosting antibodies a newborn needs because a 5-week-old kitten's gut can no longer absorb those immunoglobulins. At 5 weeks old, a "struggling" kitten needs immediate veterinary care, proper warmth, and appropriate nutrition rather than a newborn colostrum supplement

Q: Can I give this to 5 day old French bulldog

1 Answer
  • A: Yes, you can give Producer's Pride Multi-Species Colostrum Gel to a 5-day-old puppy, as it is labeled as safe for puppies. However, the critical immune-boosting antibodies in colostrum can only be absorbed by a newborn's gut during the first 12 to 24 hours of life, so at 5 days old, it acts only as a general nutritional and probiotic supplement rather than an immune immunity transfer

Q: Is this sufficient for a newborn beef calf if the cave receives no other sources of colostrum

1 Answer
  • A: No, a colostrum gel is not sufficient as a sole source of colostrum for a newborn beef calf that receives nothing else. Gels are classified as supplements, not replacements. Colostrum gels are designed to give newborn animals a quick boost of energy, probiotics, and vitamins. They do not contain the high volume of immunoglobulins (IgG) and fat that a calf requires to build an adequate immune system

This stuff really works!

I always keep this on hand. To start this year's lambing season, we had three newborn lambs that were not able to nurse. Each one received Producer's Pride Colostrum within hours of birth. All three are thriving. I'm a believer. This is Rufus, Chickolini and Rusty with Chickolini's mom.

Yes, I recommend this product.
