No where did it say that the prod shaft needed the other attachment to work, which I had to buy separately. After buying both and bringing it home, it did not work on the cow I had intended it for.

I bought this prod shaft and a longer one as well, this shaft lasted thirty minutes before the clear plastic shaft broke leaving the Prod useless the longer one only lasted five minutes before it snapped even when using extra caution and TLC. The shaft has very little flexibility compared to another manufacturer's cattle prod & shafts that I am still using with no problem. These shafts are not interchangeable with other manufacturers cattle prods so I had to purchase another manufacturer's Prod and shafts.
