Q: Does Tractor Supply carry batteries for the Jolt hotshot they sell

    • A: Yes most of the time.  Isn’t much turn over so unless the store mgr hasn’t “zero peg’d” them and forced the system to drop them out, they should be located where the shots, syringes, are located.

    Small and Tough

Worked perfectly in the chute. Not bulky, tough and great for up close work. Still took 8 hours to get my donkeys loaded but not for lack of a prod, ropes and plenty of verbal “encouragement”.

Get an Amerian made Hot shot instead!!

Stopped working after 10 months of light use. It sucks, I'm ordering and American made Hot Shot, which BTW is cheaper than this imported crap. I should have check there first instead of assuming this one would be a quality product.

    May have some potential

My hotshot broke and I needed something quick. Took out of the package and the first thing I noticed was that the off/on switch was not labeled, which, indicates to me low quality. Tried it on myself and found the on position of the switch (up). In the chute with a stubborn cow, shock apparently too low but produces a spark. I don't wish to proceed with making phone calls, etc. Will return and buy a new motor for my hot shot which has been around for 25 years. You may want to buy to try.

No, I do not recommend this product.
