Prevue Pet Products 36 in. x 24 in. x 66 in. Wrought-Iron Select Bird Cage, Pewter/Black

Overall the cage is ok. The hardware for top pirch did not work and had to be replaced with longer and larger hardware. I had to replace both pirches to accomidate the size for a blue and gold macaw. They can't comfortably stand on small dowel sticks. The perches were made of soft wood, that can be chewed though easily. When installing one of the food trays the welded on mount on the small door broke off, the weld was non exsitant on one end and had only rust where there should have been a weld. The bird seems happy after making the modifications. Which for the price should not have been necessary. Obviously the designer of these cages has never owned and cared for a large bird.

This was delivered much quicker and anticipated. We were looking for an adequate sized cage for our male eclectus mainly for meals and sleep. the rest of his time his spent with us. we were able to stuff this with a variety of toys and perches. However, he still only wants food and us. lmao

Very nicely made cage for the money. My conures love it! Not extremely difficult to put together. More than happy I was able to purchase the cage through Tractor Supply. They by far had the best price! Didn't know until recently you could order cages through them!

I was surprised Tractor Supply had the cage I was looking for at the best price. That's because I didn't know they sold pet bird cages. At least they do online. I ordered my cockatoos new cage and received it a few days later. Kinda. It comes in two boxes, but I only received one box. When I called Tractor Supply they told me there was a delay with the shipping company, but I would receive the other box tomorrow. Even though there was a delay the shipping company was kind enough to place both of the heavy boxes on my porch. I assembled the cage myself, but it was not easy. It's one of those where you get one side screwed in and go to screw in the other side, only to have the other side come unscrewed again. It would have taken me half the time to assemble if I had another person helping hold everything in place while I got everything screwed in. The cage had some small dents, but having ordered bird cages by mail for the past thirty years I was not surprised by that. It wasn't nothing that a pair of plyers couldn't bend back in shape. After I had assembled the cage I discovered a part was missing. That also is not a first for me. I knew that I needed to call Prevue and request the missing part be mailed to me. The part that was missing was part of the lock on the front door. Prevue mailed the part to me at no extra cost. All in all it's a good cage at a great price. It has two things that I look for when I buy my cockatoo a new cage, and that is a bird proof lock, and locking feed cups that can't be turned over. His ability to do the latter is why his first cage rusted way before its time. From now on I will tell my fellow bird lovers to look at Tractor Supply when they are looking for cages/carriers/stands for their pet birds. They might be like me, and think they only sale dog, and cat supplies.
