The Prevue Pet Products Red Barn Large Chicken Coop was inspired by the traditional Red Barn found on many farms. The large chicken coop offers lots of living space while remaining compact enough to fit in an urban farm environment. This large chicken coop's thoroughly constructed design combines safety and security for your hens with modern and convenient features for you. Prevue Pet Products' large red barn chicken coop is easily assembled and includes step-by-step instructions. To maintain the longevity of your purchase, we recommend that you periodically treat it with a non-toxic sealant, and protect it with a tarp or other covering during extended periods of inclement weather.Note: This product may require up to 2 additional days for order processing prior to shipping
- There's plenty of room to roam in the protected chicken run while still allowing your flock access to the grass, ground and outdoors
- Leave the front access door open for come and go activity or secure with the attached bolt-lock to protect from predators
- Red barn chicken coop's ventilated roosting area provides air circulation and light and includes three roosting bars plus an under-coop removable tray for interior cleaning
- Large back-panel door gives you full entry to the roosting area and is secured with two bolt-lock closures
- Adjacent to the roosting area, two nest boxes contains four nesting slots with each slot measuring approximately 9-1/2 in. in width
- Nest box lid lifts easily, or can be fully removed, for egg removal and can also be locked for additional security
- Prevue Pet Products' large chicken coop is spacious enough for 8 - 10 hens
- Traditional barn red, non-toxic, stain is complimented by a green asphalt roof to keep the coop's interior cozy and dry

Beautiful Chicken Coop!

This chicken coop was delivered to me exactly as it was described in the product listing. All of the pieces were packaged neatly and in a manner to keep them from being damaged. None of the wood was cracked or broken. The instruction manual was easy to understand. I was very impressed with this chicken coop and felt that it was a wonderful deal for the cost. My husband and I were able to get in together in about two hours.
The only think I would suggest is to have another person to help assemble it! It's really a two-person job.

We were not impressed. The quality of the this product is poor. The wood is very thin. I have had to repair parts of the coop myself simply from use only to have them break again.

8-10 chickens?

This is smaller than I expected. For the price I was expecting something with a little more room for the chickens. I am not sure if it will keep 10 full grow chickens. Door to run is tiny, (my 3 year old is the only one that can get in the door. But it seems to be sturdy. We will see how the chickens do.

XPO Shipping is very poor

This rating is for the XPO delivery only. I spoke to the XPO dispatcher 2 times before delivery. Was told curb side delivery only...I asked what curbside delivery meant. I explained that I live half a mile off of the road and I did not want this item to get left at the road like last year. Was promised that the item would be delivered to the house. Item was left at the road half a mile from my house. I was told that the driver was using a 28 ft truck so that should not have been an issue. When the dispatcher talked to the driver I was told he was scared because I live back in the woods. Scheduled another shipment for the next day. Again promised that the item would be delivered to the house not abandoned at the road again. Second item in the order was again abandoned at the road half a mile from the house. Tractor Supply is now loosing my business because of XPO. I will not order anything that requires delivery until XPO no longer delivers for Tractor Supply. I had to cancel another order for a gun safe because I could not get a guarantee that the safe would be delivered to my house (not even just dropped off) and not abandoned half a mile away. I have deliveries with larger than 28 foot truck on occasion, I cannot understand why they cannot deliver to my house with no reason other than the driver is scared. The chicken Coop is very good.
No, I do not recommend this product.
