Prairie Pride Goat Protein Pail is a molasses-based protein supplement for goats. It is formulated to provide a supplemental source of protein and essential vitamins and trace minerals. Highly palatable.

Cane molasses, soybean meal, magnesium oxide, hydrolyzed vegetable oil, monocalcium phosphate, dicalcium phosphate, salt, calcium carbonate, ferrous sulfate, manganous oxide, zinc oxide, manganese sulfate, sodium selenite, zinc sulfate, mineral oil, calcium iodate, cobalt sulfate, sodium molybdate, copper sulfate, vitamin A supplement, vitamin D-3 supplement, vitamin E supplement and propionic acid (a preservative)..

Feeding instructions:
Remove plastic liner and top label prior to placing with animals. Feed continuously with plentiful sources of good quality hay and forage, as well as clean fresh water. Remove all other sources of salt and minerals. Provide at least 1 pail per 5-10 head of goats. Place pails at least 10 ft. apart. Locate pails where goats congregate.

My goat is eating this like crazy, to the point of loose stools. Are you sure your supposed to leave this out all the time? Why would he eat so much?

One pail is intended to be for 5-10 head of goats, so if there's just one goat, he may be consuming too much. We would also recommend speaking with your veterinarian just to make sure there's nothing else underlying causing the issue. If it is confirmed that the protein pail is causing the problem, then we recommend consulting the veterinarian regarding how much to limit their intake.
