The fencing tape uses a combination of stainless steel and copper to provide conductivity across the entire material. The wide design is more visible than smooth wire to deter animals before they reach the electric fencing.

I have installed and it is in use at this time. This was the longest fence roll for poly at the best price. I am using it for horses so the1/2' tape is fine, they seem to be more sensitive than cows.
