For 18-years, Post Protector has provided simple, slide-on barrier protection for in-ground posts. Remove the ground contact and extend post life. The Post Protector 4 in. x 4 in. x 30 in. Fence Post Protector is a chemical-free solution to improved post life, designed to eliminate ground contact where micro-organisms in the soil feed on wood fiber. This post protector model doesn't require hardware or fasteners and therefore doesn't offer the same uplift protection like our other models but is perfect for fences and other shallow embedment applications where post holes are dug at around 2 ft. The fence post protector can be used for embedments greater than 2 ft. as well. It separates the first 2 ft. of the post from the soil which is the most critical part of the post. The soil below 18 in. does not contain enough oxygen for wood-eating microbes to thrive and cause rot and decay. This fence post protection takes advantage of this fact as a price-leader in the Post Protector product line.
