Introducing Airmax Algae Defense - the perfect solution for keeping your pond or lake free from excessive algae growth. Algae is a common problem in any body of water and can quickly become a nuisance, causing unsightly green water, gross algae mats, foul odors, and even harm to aquatic life. But with Airmax Algae Defense, you can keep your water crystal clear, clean, and looking blue, all without complicated cleaning methods. Using Airmax Algae Defense is easy - simply add the appropriate amount of product to your water, based on the size of your pond or lake and let it work its magic. When used in accordance with label instructions, treatment will not harm aquatic life. So any turtle, frog, or duck will not be affected. Pets and farm animals will also remain unharmed. Safe for plants and lilly pads. Algae Defense is registered with the EPA so you can use treatment chemicals with confidence in your large pond, lake, reservoir, bayou or lagoon. Use with Treatment Booster Plus for best results. Algae Defense contains copper and is NOT recommended for patio ponds, inground house waterfall ponds, fountains, and water gardens, especially not for those containing koi, goldfish, and grass carp. Do not use in ponds with trout unless carbonate hardness is above 50ppm, test water to be sure. Apply Algae Defense when algae is actively growing. Once the algae or weeds brown and die, use a rake to remove as much dead natural material as possible. Removal prevents an accumulation of dead plant material, muck and sludge. Unless nutrient load is mitigated with an aerator or beneficial bacteria, multiple applications of an algaecide or herbicide may be needed for full-season algae and pond weed control.Algae Defense should be applied to target algae while it is active and growing. The active ingredients in Algae Defense will be absorbed by the plant, killing it entirely

- Liquid Algaecide Kills Algae Fast -- A fast-acting pond algaecide formula that works on a broad spectrum of algae. Provides easy control of floating algae, bottom growing chara, and green water.
- For Lakes and Large Ponds -- For use in fresh water lakes, potable water reservoirs, ponds (including golf course ponds), fish hatcheries, irrigation ditches, and other such slow-moving waterbodies.
- Spray Directly Onto Algae Blooms -- Algae Defense can be directly applied via a pressurized sprayer. Once algae has died and turned brown, we recommend removing dead organics from your shoreline.
- Highly Effective Algae & Chara Remover -- Rapid results when applied directly to problematic algae and chara. Treated water can be used instantly for recreational purposes, drinking, and irrigation.

- A: Hello, Algae Defense can be used in ponds with Ducks and Geese. We do only recommend treating only 1/3 of your pond at a time and waiting 10-14 days before treating the next section of the pond. Mix the desired amount of Algae Defense and pond water in accordance to label directions. Using a pressurized sprayer; spray the Algae Defense mixture directly onto the target algae. Use with AIrmax Treatment Booster Plus for best results. Over time treated algae will begin to brown and die. Once it is completely dead, rake the dead algae away to prevent an accumulation of plant decay and pond muck. Algae Defense is toxic to very few fish. Pond owners that have experienced a fish kill after using a copper based algaecide most likely treated too large of an area. - A: Below are the basic usage instructions for pond Logic Algae Defense. We do not recommend treating any area that does not have algae in it. This is a reactive product so spraying in an area that does not have any algae in it would not be of any benefit to your pond. We DO NOT recommend pouring the product directly into the pond. Spraying as directed is the only method we suggest. Works great in my 1 acre 30ft deep pond. I have been using this for several years now. I spray the algae once in the spring it keeps it out all year. No problems with fish or wildlife.
