This Permatex High Strength Thread Lock is a high-strength threadlocker for heavy-duty applications 3/8 inch to 1 inch (10mm to 25mm). Especially well-suited for permanently locking studs and press fits, this automobile thread lock adds 3,000 PSI holding power on slip and press fit assemblies. It also replaces set screws and snap rings and locks against vibration loosening. Please note the heavy-duty thread lock may require heat or special tools for removal.

Suggested applications for automobiles include: cylinder block and rocker arm studs, ring gear bolts, frame bolts, and shock absorber bolts
Suggested applications for motorcycles include: all engine mounting bolts
Suggested heavy-duty applications include: air starter fasteners, suspension fasteners, shock absorber mounts, wheel studs, exhaust system mounts, and bumper fasteners
Suggested marine applications include: cylinder block studs, ring gear bolts, frame bolts, and shock bolts
Conforms to ASTM D5363 AN0221 (Mil-S- 46163A, Type I, Grade K) for assurance
Directions: Clean and dry parts using Permatex Surface Prep activator and shake the bottle of high temperature Threadlocker Red well before each use. Remove the cap and snip the nozzle tip, the apply threadlocker to threaded areas and assemble parts.
Works on metal parts and is not recommended for plastics
Must be heated to 500 F (260 C) before parts will separate
